Creating with Light: Drawing on Our Virtues

Thursdays, Dec. 1-22, 4-6:30pm

Presented Online by Yellow Barn Studio

GIVE YOURSELF THE GIFT OF SEEING MORE! During this darkest of months, explore meaningful artworks such as Vincent Van Gogh’s The Starry Night (1889) while connecting with your own expressive creativity. Experiment with white, metallic, and color artistic tools on black Fabriano paper as you engage in Marking & Mapping® exercises.  Learn about The Virtues Project as we explore thematic virtues such as empathy, resilience, and gratitude. Use the Virtues Card app to create authentic Virtue Maps that reveal your ideas, ideals, inspirations, and life purpose.  Consider sharing the Virtue Maps you create by gifting to someone special, even yourself, during this holiday season.

  • Experience a hands-on, interactive Visual Fitness “workout” on Zoom
  • No previous art experience necessary; all levels
  • Provided prior to class: Welcome letter with Zoom link
  • Materials list: Black Fabriano Pad 8×8, POSCA Brush White, Uniball Gel Impact Pen (White and Silver), Stabilo Pen 68 Metallic, Set of 6.  NOTE: Art Supply Kit available from Plaza Art–Call 301-718-8500 or email Bethesdastore@plazaart.com
